No. Because we work on an 8 a.m. to 6p.m. schedule, Monday to Friday, most of our customers aren’t home when we arrive. In a majority of these cases, our insured house cleaning professionals are provided with a spare key or garage code.
While we cannot guarantee our exact time of arrival because we give every home the attention it deserves and requires, we do offer arrival windows for your convenience and we do our best to accommodate your preferences so our services are as minimally disruptive as possible.
We treat every single home we clean with the utmost respect. If something happens to break during our routine service, we’ll do our best to repair or replace the item. Our residential housekeepers are fully insured, so claims can be filed when appropriate.

During your first consultation, we’ll create a customized cleaning plan that’s designed to accommodate all of your specific requests. No. We arrive with all of the cleaning materials we need and take them with us when we leave.

We understand how unpredictable life can be. If you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning, we recommend that you call about 72 hours before your next scheduled service. We’ll do our best to accommodate all of your scheduling needs.
During the event that one of your routine cleanings falls on a holiday, we’ll reach out to you. Our team will also remind you of any additional house cleaning services that we can provide you with so you can be prepared for the upcoming holiday. We’ll do our best to work with your schedule.
Payments are due on the day of your scheduled service. Most of our valued customers leave cash or a check on the kitchen counter, but we also accept credit card payments. If you do choose to write us a check, please make it payable to Gilded Cleaning.

While most green cleaning products cannot remove all harmful forms of bacteria, Gilded Cleaning uses the most appropriate methods for each service. In order to protect the environment, we utilize microfiber cloths and pads during our services, rather than paper. Not only is this practice better for the environment, microfiber picks up 99% of bacteria while cotton-based mops only pick up 29%.
Gilded Cleaning ensures to use cleaners that are non-acidic and free of ammonia, alcohol, petroleum, and other toxic chemicals. We also recommend that you balance the use of green cleaning products and disinfectants in your cleaning plan to ensure that your home is as healthy and clean as possible.

Our initial cleaning may take longer and cost a little more than the rest of your services. We need the extra time to properly begin the process of eliminating mildew, soap scum, dust, and dirt from your home.

We can provide service weekly, every other week, or once a month, depending on your cleaning needs. You can also request cleaning services for special events, as well as move-out and move-in cleaning assistance. Because we work on a no-contract basis, you can update or change your cleaning plan to fit your busy schedule, budget, and cleaning needs.
We believe that it’s very important to always send the same team to clean your home and we do everything in our control to make this possible. If a member of your team is absent, we’ll do our best to find the most suitable replacement. All of our cleaners undergo extensive training to ensure that the quality of our work is always consistent with the Gilded Cleaning Gold Standard checklist.
While tips aren’t expected, we’re allowed to accept them. Some of our clients prefer to tip a little at the end of each service while others provide a large tip at the end of the year. You can also leave a review on our website or Facebook page. We love hearing that our work is appreciated.
Yes, we’re proud to be a pet-friendly company. If your pet is aggressive in any way, we recommend that you leave him or her outside or in a gated area to ensure the safety of our professional house cleaners. If you don’t plan on being home when we arrive, please let us know how to appropriately handle cleaning around your pet.
